Plugs and socket-outlet with an integral switching device

MARECHAL Decontactors offer the user maximum safety, because they combine the functions of a plug and a switch in a single device. Thanks to the butt-contact system, they can be disconnected under load, from 16A to 250A! They are in compliance with the standard for industrial plugs and socket-outlets IEC/EN 60309-1 and have a load-breaking capacity according to IEC/EN 609047-3, AC22, AC23 or AC3.

Plug is released when no longer under load

Simply press the button of the Decontactor to break the circuit and release the plug. This automatically returns to its parked position (Fig. 2). Now the device is switched off and the plug can be removed safely after a slight turn (Fig. 3).

No access to live parts thanks to a safety shutter

A safety shutter prevents any access to the live parts of the socket when the plug is removed (Fig. 4).

Mix-ups impossible thanks to codification

MARECHAL Decontactors have 24 different keying positions. The unintentional insertion of devices of different voltages or applications is therefore impossible.

Designed for overload conditions

Decontactors have been designed in such a way that they can safely transmit overloads up to 8 times their nominal current for a short time! They prevent any risk of drawing an electric arc formation upon removing the plug. In the event of a short-circuit they guarantee safe handling.
